Many plastics and fiber composite materials must be heat-treated for product improvement or to ensure that they have the required product properties. In most cases, chamber ovens, forced convection chamber furnaces or continuous furnaces are used for the respective process.

The European standard EN 1539 describes the safety technology design of furnaces and ovens for processes in which solvents or other combustible substances are released and evaporated quickly. The LS version of ovens and forced convection chamber furnaces is specially designed in accordance with these requirements and is equipped with the appropriate safety technology.
